What I offer
I offer a professional and confidential service in which I deal with you holistically, as a whole person rather than a collection of symptoms or problems. My approach incorporates mindfulness and compassion; I see myself as accompanying you on your journey to better health and increased happiness.
What to expect
Normally sessions last for 60 minutes and take place in my consulting room. a ‘safe space’ of trust, warmth, and confidentiality. Since Covid I am also offering sessions via Zoom or on the telephone. Ideally sessions should be weekly at the same time but work patterns may make this impossible; in this case I will be as flexible as possible. The fee is £50 per session for individuals (£60 after 17.45), £60 for couples (£70 after 17.45).
I also offer ‘Outdoor Therapy’, a new addition to my Practice. If this is of interest please email me for further details.
I work with adults (18+) individually or in couples. There is no minimum or maximum number of sessions. You might find that after 4 or 5 you are feeling better or you may need to attend for months or years to address deep seated issues or trauma.
My orientation is Transpersonal, which is a perspective that incorporates a range of approaches – CBT, Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, and Existential. My role is to help activate your self-healing capacities mainly via talking, but possibly by accessing dreams, engaging in creative visualisation, writing, free drawing, painting – whatever works best for you. I believe that we are more than the contents of our personalities and my training allows me to use the approach that I feel best suits your unique situation.
