I have been working independently as a psychotherapist/counsellor since 2002 and as a Supervisor since 2005. My Practice primarily consists of individuals and couples who have self-referred but I also take referrals from GP’s, insurance companies, IAPT and the legal system and have worked on a voluntary and contract basis with the charities outlined below.
I have a Certificate and Advanced Diploma in Transpersonal Psychology and am Accredited by the Centre for Transpersonal Psychology in London; I am Registered as a Psychotherapist and as a Supervisor with the UK Council for Psychotherapy; I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I work within all of their ethical guidelines, which are available from their websites.
I am a Supervisor for Cruse Bereavement Care and Mind counsellors and also have a large number of individual Supervisees, who i see privately. I have a lot of experience working with people with alcohol problems via the Peripatetic Alcohol Counselling and Therapy Service (PACTS) and for the Hertfordshire Alcohol Problem Advisory Service (HAPAS).
I am a lecturer on the Counselling Diploma at West Herts College in Hemel Hempstead and run weekend counselling related workshops for the college and other organisations.
My work is overseen by my peers through individual, group and peer supervision. I have full professional indemnity insurance cover.
I am Company Secretary of the Centre for Transpersonal Psychology, Treasurer of the Transpersonal Perspectives Association and was a delegate to the Humanistic and Integrative Psychology College of UKCP for 3 years.
